Yea i know that you had almost forgotten about me and the bike, but we are heading to an update and upgrade!
1.Batteries

So in the last 2 year’s I have been riding the bike, I love the leaf pack but in my professional career I have learned about more and more cell’s and have want to learn more and apply it to a new pack. So I am going to make a new pack built out of 33140’s for a couple of reason’s
| QTY | LV Cutout | Nominal Volt | High Voltage | LV Cutout | Nominal Volt | High Voltage | LV Voltage | Total Voltage | HV Voltage | |||
| 12 | 2.8 | 3.8 | 4.1 | 5.6 | 7.6 | 8.2 | 67.2 | 91.2 | 98.4 | |||
| 30 | 2.5 | 3.2 | 3.65 | 2.5 | 3.2 | 3.65 | 75 | 96 | 109.5 |
1) Narrower voltage band, allowing for more usable voltage to the end, the increased 7 volts allows me to run to a lower voltage under controlled conditions if i need the power to get home
2) More stable voltage (with hopefully less sag)
3) Mo Power baby!
The best I can estimate right now on the Leaf cell’s is that they are ~45amp/hrs. Meaning I have roughly 4KWh of usable battery when changed. The reason for that is i never did a capacity test on the used leaf cell’s when I got them. However, building my own pack means I know that upon completion i will have 75amp/hrs (70 amp/hrs usable however) meaning i will be just under 7KWh.
4) Now, with making my own battery and not using a recycled battery, yes I will in fact take a weight penalty, However, by my math it will only be about 4.5 lb’s (honestly I think I have put on more then that in the last 5 years!
2. Motor
This is one I have been planning for a long ass time!
Its just a beaster motor!! up to 35KW of power verse the ~15KW that I currently have on the bike.
Also get an extra 100RPM out of it. 6000 RPM vs 5000 RPM. Meaning I can change my Pizza cutter disk in the back down a few teeth, or leave it as is for a higher top speed.
This motor has been kicking around my garage now for almost 5 years, so its about time to install it!!
3) Fairing
This is another one that has been sitting in my garage waiting on me to get to it and get it done.
I have a Ducati 1098 Fiberglass Full Fairing and front stay that has been sitting in a box. Waiting for me to cut it up and shove it onto the SV Chassis.
4) Dash
This is one I should have done when I started this bike, and that is the knockoff Zero Cluster. While I love my SV dash, I need the Voltage and the Fuel Gauge so its time to just admit it and put it on. Besides who doesnt need a clock while driving these day š

5) Another minor change is I will be rewiring the harness and adding in the mode function to allow an Eco / Normal / Sport / Reverse (thank you @brian / Energica for telling me I need reverse on my motorcycle)
